About the event
Join us as we reimagine, in signature counter/current style, Chekhov’s poignant, comical, and quietly devastating masterpiece about ordinary life. Uncle Vanya is a tale about a small rural community, whose lives become undone upon the arrival of an aging professor and his beautiful wife. Dancing on the words of Paul Schmidt’s impeccable translation, these “scenes from country life” unfold as each character grapples with unrequited love, existential malaise, and a longing for a life unfulfilled.
Held at a secret spot 25 minutes from Belfast and Camden, audience members will learn the exact location of the performance the day before the show. Performances are partly outdoors and include a set of stairs. Location is not fully ADA accessible, but please contact us prior to booking tickets so we can discuss how we may accommodate you. Please be prepared with layers, rain gear, bug spray, sturdy shoes and water. Bring a cushion if sitting…
